This magical talking piece was used and held by a Luba diviner during divination rituals. The zoomorphic figure possibly feline features a round face with raised brow encircled bu incised lines like that of a lion's mane. The four legged animal stands in a riggid pose and a long tail long tail at the rear. The back is surrmounted by two magical fetish charges a small fragment of a animal horn as well as a square shaped piece of mirrored glass.
